Good afternoon my friends, it is a Wednesday afternoon here in Indiana and we have not seen a sunny day in a week or so, BUT, you know what? look at the beautiful number 330.
Yes, Quilts n Gifts here in Bluffton, Indiana has paired up with American Patchwork and Quilting to work together and reach the national goal of one million pillowcases to be donated to the charity of your choice or ours if you do not have one.
Right now we are working with about 4 different charities and as of today we are at 330 pillowcases and counting and every single one has been donated.
Now, as we all know the situation in Haiti is definitely lower than acceptable because of the terrible devastation that those earthquakes has caused. We are on a drive right now to collect as many small non perishable items like toothbrushes, toothpaste liquid soap and pillowcases to send to Haiti. A local church here in Bluffton has families working as missionaries in Haiti as we speak, so far they are ok, and they will be taking/sending a container to Haiti to be distributed. We have only 3 more weeks to collect some of these items and we urge you to join us to help in making a difference.
If you want you can either drop off items here in the store or you can mail them to Quilts n Gifts, 2035 Commerce Dr. Ste. 205, Bluffton, Indiana 46714. You can call us at 260-565-4438 store number or my cell at 260-273-2611. Looking forward to hear or see you soon. Remember only 3 more weeks.
We have finally finished the inventory, what a relief! and with that has come quite a few more fabrics in the store. It is so refreshing to open those boxes and see great new fabrics.
We also have been very busy with Sweet Toni, our Gammill Statler stitcher quilting machine, finishing some very stunning quilts. We are running about 3 weeks and sometimes even less depending on the size of the quilt/wallhanging etc.
Well, it looks like we are getting busy again and with that for me to go back to work. Take care and see you all around the web quilting frame, your friends, mary
